Today I created another card using the Abstract Triangles background stamp and the Autumn Greetings stamp set. I used the background stamp to create a pretty border in the center of my card. I colored the triangles with Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Watercolor pens in fall colors. I added some fall leaves that I created and added some twine to complete my card. The sentiment is from the Autumn Greetings stamp set. Enjoy!

This week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is Stamp It. We are featuring products from the new STAMPtember release. For my mixed media panel, I used the amazing Abstract Triangles Background Stamp and Autumn Greetings stamp set. It's a quick and simple project with lovely fall colors. Enjoy!

I cut several leaves from the Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves Bigz die out of Ranger Manila card stock.

To create the fall colors on my leaves I used Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick Distress Inks. I blended each color onto the leaves with a mini blending tool.

For the stems, I pounced on Gathered Twigs Distress Ink with a blending tool and also used the same color around the edges of the leaves.

For my background, I blended Broken China, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans Distress Inks onto a 6" x 12" piece of white chipboard.

I applied Vintage Photo Distress Marker to the Simon Says Stamp Abstract Triangles background stamp and spritzed it lightly with water. I then stamped the image onto my background.

I used the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to spray on droplets of water onto my panel. I let that sit for about 30 seconds and rolled a roll of paper towel over my background to lift the ink.

To create multiple colors on my stamp, I used a Misti. For my sentiment, I used the Simon Says Stamp Autumn Greetings stamp set and very gently inked it with Potting Soil Archival Ink.

I cleaned the stamp while it was still on the Misti with a baby wipe and then inked it with Sunflower Archival Ink.

I applied the leaves onto my panel with Ranger Multi Matte Medium and let that completely dry. When the leaves were dry I outlined them with Vintage Photo Distress Crayon and blended the pigment around the leaves to make them stand out. I attached a strip of burlap and added my sentiment with twine.

STAMPtember Day 4

Hi Everyone! Today is day 4 of Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember month long party. I've had so much fun with some of the new products and can't wait to show you what I used to create my card today. The Abstract Triangles background stamp is absolutely amazing! There are so many many ways to use this stamp and the possibilities are endless. I also used the new Autumn Blessings wafer die for a simple and elegant sentiment. I hope you join me for the next few days as I highlight this amazing background stamp and a few ways you can use it on cards. Oh, and don't be surprised when you see it on some of my mixed media creations as well. Enjoy!

I made several sets of these leaves for various fall projects and thought they would be perfect on a card paired with the Abstract Triangles background stamp in beautiful fall colors. If you're interested to see a step-by-step tutorial on how I made these leaves you can check out my post here. To create the background for my card, I inked the stamp with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and lightly spritzed it with the Tim Holtz Spritzer and stamped that onto watercolor paper. After that was completely dry, I went over the background with Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I added a simple border with twine and my leaves. I love fall and the bright beautiful colors that nature provides at that time of year. It's a season full of inspiration!

STAMPtember - Day 3

Hey Everyone! It's day 3 of the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release and I have another adorable card I created from the Secret Garden stamp set. I really had a lot of fun with this set as you can see over the last three days. There are so many possibilities and combinations to create the cutest cards with this set. If you love fairies and gnomes then this is the set for you! Psst - Even if you don't think you like fairies or gnomes this set will change your mind. Enjoy!

I used Distress Inks to create my clouds and copic markers to color the images. 

STAMPtember - Day 2

Hi Everyone! How do you like the new Simon Says Stamp exclusive  stamps, dies, inks, paper and envelopes from their new STAMPtember release? I love them all! Have you seen the Watercolor Paintable Birthday Prints. They are so fun! This is just the beginning of a month long stamping adventure and I'll have a few samples to share with you in the coming days.

Today, I'm featuring another card made from the adorable Secret Garden stamp and coordinating die set.

I colored the simple background sky with Distress Inks and my Gnomes were colored with copic markers. There are so many combinations to create adorable cards with this set. It's definitely a must have. Enjoy!
