Today I created a card for Lawnscaping Challenge No. 109. You can check out the rules and join in the fun here:
I created a card using the "Love You Smore" and "Trim The Tree" stamp sets. I wanted the flame to encase most of the sparkle and shine for the challenge and thought sequins in the center of the flame would be just the trick. I started by stamping the large flame and colored it with Copic markers YR18, YR15 and Y15. Then, I used the small flame die cut to "cut out" the center of the large flame. This left just the right amount of space to place my sequins and also gave me the base of the flame underneath so I wouldn't loose the colors of the flame. I finished by cutting out the large flame with it's coordinating die cut. I used a piece of acetate to cover the opening and filled the large flame with sequins. I took the small flame and covered it with glossy accents and then sprinkled it with Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy dry glitter while the glue was still wet and did the same to the outside of the large flame.
Here is my finished card:
A closer look shows the other areas where I put a little sparkle and shine on the moon, tree, marshmallow and the marshmallow's flame. This was really a fun challenge and I enjoyed creating this card with Lawn Fawn's "Love You Smore" and "Trim The Tree" stamp sets.
Copic Colors Used:
Flames: Y15, YR15, YR18
Bear: E33, E35, E37, E39
